The adapters performs the following functions:
- Convert the unbalanced line-out (~1Vpp) for audio media streaming from the EGO talk unit to balanced differential signals (+-2Vpp)
- Read steering wheel controls and convert to "fake" button presses to the EGO Talk unit
- Convert the Mute signal from the EGO talk unit to a amplifier off for the head unit (amp power on is interrupted)

Steering wheel signals are two resistor arrays that are shorted by switches on the steering wheel; two signals with voltages between 5V and 0V. See btn_t and wheel_control_t
- RedLed = RedLed status from the EGO Talk
- GreenLed = GreenLed status from the EGO Talk
- Mute = Mute status from the EGO Talk
- Precond = Status as recorded by AVR
- Buttons = Steering wheel buttons as measured by ADC on the AVR
